Late Night, Limited Options, Awesome Result

I was stubborn. It was late. Yet, I had an unbridled hunger that needed answered. I took what I had, and I turned it into tasty gold. Wow.

What I Had

1 cup of whole grain rice blend
1 can of drained tuna
6 cloves of pressed garlic
½ package of cream cheese
Fresh ground pepper, ground Italian seasoning, butter.

What I Did

I started the rice blend up first, as that takes a total of one hour to cook. The only prep for this rice is heating up water, butter and salt to boiling, throwing the rice blend in.

Next, I heated up some freshly ground pepper and dry Italian seasoning with some butter and pressed garlic. I took the drained can of tuna and put it on top and stirred it up in that buttery brew. Then, I took the half package of cream cheese and put it on top and swirled it into the tuna. I turned off the heat and wait for the brown rice I to finish cooking.

Once the rice is finished, I swirled that right on top of the cream cheese and tuna mixture. This turned out amazingly! It was just the right touch of creamy from the cheese and flavor from the tuna touched off by the garlic, mellowed by the rice blend.

Explorer Impact Notes
Having whole grain rice around always give you something tasty to eat that’s very easy to prepare.

Canned Tuna is a good source of iron.

Cream Cheese is a good source of calcium.

Whole Grain Rice is a good source of fiber and grains.

A Garlic Press can be an essential tool in cooking.

Dry seasonings are fairly tasteless unless they are warmed before cooking. I’ve found seasoning grinders increase the flavor potential when ground into the bottom of the cooking pan. I then add the butter or olive oil, then begin pressing the garlic cloves into the butter/olive oil/seasoning mix as it begins to bubble. Usually, I grind more seasoning on top of this before stirring it around. This insures flavor-rich butter/olive oil that will flavor anything you stir into it. An easy flavor-infusion technique.

Exploring Eating

“I love exploring cooking to live! It’s such fun and makes me feel so amazing!”
Eating is part of every day. Even with fasting, eating is the central focus by what is not taking place. Exploring the act of eating, therefore, would be a worthwhile and advisable process for anyone.

There are so many aspects leading to and from eating. From what items we cook to what items we eat raw. From how we prepare the food to how we present that food for consumption. Is the food for just our self, or is it simply for others only?

The atmosphere of where we eat also plays a role in how eating affects us. Consider a candlelight dinner, or brunch on the lawn by the garden. Consider dinner from the kitchen, a restaurant or on the grill. Eating can be raised up to event status or be from pan to mouth.

The stress of cooking food in the kitchen can directly affect the relationship with eating food. Consider the differences in mood while cooking and while cleaning up after dinner has been served. The effects of mood on the digestive process are real.

Then, there’s how the food we eat is digested. There are actually ways to alter absorption, rate of digestion and countless other variables involved with eating. Imagine cherishing every bite of what you eat instead of cringing.

Financial resources also critically impact what and where we can eat. Exploring better ways to spend limited resources becomes increasingly important in an inflationary economic environment.

Do we choose organics? How about whole grains? What about the fat content in what we eat? Prepared foods or fresh produce? These are all questions with few one word answers. The goal is to minimize the use of our resources while maximizing the benefits.

While exploring daily living, we should not ignore one of the most critical roles we play in our entire life. Eating fuels everything we do and affects us even while we sleep.

Lift up the veil that covers up your awareness and transform the role eating plays in your everyday living.

The results are immediate. The feedback is real. The possibilities are endless.

Embarking on the Explorer’s Path

With much zest and zeal, I lift off on this written exploration of my daily living. My objective here is to make a leap forward in my efforts. For over half a decade, I’ve been striving to find ways to improve my life. I’ve found measured success in very spontaneous and sometimes rambunctious ways.

All of these explorative activities are based on the goal of happy, healthy living with limited means and within reach of every day yet brimming with limitless joy and fulfillment. This may seem an ambitious endeavor, but it’s a very gritty, very hands-on approach to every single day.

This is an approach which offers immediate results by constantly increasing productivity, ever enhancing efficiency and creating delighting daily moments that may provide a reservoir for nourishment and replenishment of mind, body and soul.

Infuse your life with Joy. Refuse to take your life any other way.
